  • Explosives, radioactive materials, uncontained sharps, Category A infectious substances or goods requiring a dangerous-goods licence or vehicle VANTIX has not confirmed.

Sender duties

The sender is responsible for correct classification, packaging, containment, marking, documentation and disclosure. For dangerous goods, the sender must provide the required transport document and comply with the Australian Dangerous Goods Code and NSW law. VANTIX may inspect, refuse, isolate or return a consignment where reasonably required for safety or compliance.

Medical and pathology

Specimens must use compliant primary, secondary and outer packaging appropriate to their classification, with leakage controls, labels and any validated temperature system supplied by the customer. A booking must not contain patient clinical detail beyond what is necessary for safe delivery and recipient verification.
